Eastern and Western Medicine, Working Together

Han Health is part of the Han Institute, founded in 2013 to honor Professor Ji-Sheng Han and to bring his research on acupuncture and pain into patient care in the United States. The Institute’s mission is to bridge Eastern and Western medicine for people living with neurological and psychiatric conditions, chronic illness and chronic pain.

The Han approach

  • Standardized care. The Han protocols set out how each treatment is given, so care is consistent from visit to visit.
  • Evidence first. The Institute supports data collection, scientific analysis and peer review of complementary and alternative medicine.
  • Working with other providers. It collaborates with traditional and complementary medicine providers to raise the quality of care.
  • Giving back. Training courses and local community events.
